일을 즐겁게 하는 방법

Surveys indicate as many as 82 percent of people don't like their present job. Unfortunately, many of those individuals fail to realize that they are not doomed to misery at work. That figure could be significantly reduced by putting into practice a few simple principles God presents us in the Proverbs. 
연구조사에 의하면 82% 나 되는 많은 사람들이 자신이 현재 하고 있는 일을 좋아하지 않는다. 불행하게도 그러한 사람들 중 대다수가 자신들이 하는 일이 비참해야 할 운명이 아니라는 것을 깨닫지 못한다는 것이다.  그 숫자는 하나님께서 잠언을 통하여 우리에게 제시하는 몇 가지 간단한 원칙을 실천함으로써 현저히 감소시킬 수 있다.
 
These three “secrets” will not guarantee a raise or get you the prestigious corner office, but they can bring about important changes in you and in the process, increase your enjoyment at work.
다음 세 가지 “비밀”이 급여인상을 보장하거나 사무실의 좋은 자리를 차지하게 해주는 것은 아니지만, 당신 안에서 그리고 그 과정 속에서 중대한 변화를 일으키고 당신이 더욱 즐겁게 일하도록 할 것이다.
 
1.  Never Stop Learning. If you're not growing, professionally or personally, any job will eventually become less than satisfying. No one can be satisfied when they become stagnated. Good teachers have the desire and capacity to continuing learning. Here are three of the best ways to learn:
쉬지 말고 배워라. 우리가 직업적으로나 개인적으로 성장하고 있지 않으면 어떠한 일도 결국 만족함이 덜하게 될 것이다. 스스로 침체하게 되면 어느 누구도 만족을 느낄 수 없다. 좋은 선생님들은 계속적인 배움에 대한 욕망과 능력이 있다. 여기에 가장 좋은 세가지 배움의 방법이 있다.

- Learn from God. Some of life's foremost teachers learn from the best teacher of all: God. He is a master teacher who understands how his “students” will learn their lessons the best. He used a rainbow to teach security to Noah. He used a burning bush to teach confidence to Moses. And he is still the best of teachers today. The Bible is filled with practical advice for everyday life. Reading and meditating on the Scriptures is a great way to learn from God. "Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord” (Proverbs 16:20).
- 하나님께 배워라. 어떤 으뜸가는 인생의 선생님들은 모든 것들 중에서 가장 훌륭한 선생님, 하나님으로부터 배운다.  그분은 어떻게 하면 자기 “학생들”이 학과를 가장 잘 배우게 될지 알고 계시는 최고의 선생님이다. 그분은 무지개를 사용하여 노아에게 비밀을 가르쳤다. 그분은 불붙은 떨기나무를 사용하여 모세에게 믿음을 가르쳤다. 그리고 그분은 오늘날 여전히 최고의 선생님이시다. 성경은 매일의 삶에 대한 실용적인 충고로 가득 차 있다. 성경을 읽고 묵상하는 것이 하나님으로부터 배우는 최선의 길이다. “일을 지혜롭게 처리하는 사람은 잘되고 여호와를 믿는 사람은 누구나 복이 있다” (잠언 16:20).

- Learn from criticism. While it is not always easy to receive correction, the wise person listens when another person offers criticism and seeks to discern the truth in what is being said. "Anyone willing to be corrected is on the pathway to life. Anyone refusing has lost his chance" (Proverbs 10:17).
- 비판으로부터 배워라. 훈계를 듣는 것이 항상 쉬운 것은 아니지만 현명한 사람은 다른 사람의 비판에 경청하고 말하는 내용에서 진리를 분간해 내려고 애쓴다. “훈계를 지키는 사람은 생명 길에 있어도 꾸지람을 거부하는 사람은 길을 잃게 된다” (잠언 10:17).

- Learn from failures. Success is not a very good teacher, because it may come about due to factors outside of ourselves. But when we fail, it is much easier to determine the cause. The question becomes not whether we will fail – because we all will – but whether we will learn from failure. "Don't you know that this good man, though you trip him up seven times, will each time rise again?" (Proverbs 24:16).
   - 실패에서 배워라. 성공은 썩 훌륭한 선생이 못 되는데, 이유는 그것이 우리 자신들 외부의 요인에서 올 수도 있기 때문이다. 그러나 우리가 실패를 하면 그 원인을 찾아내기가 훨씬 쉽다. 문제는 우리가 실패를 할지 여부에 있지 않고 - 우리 모두는 실패하기 때문에 – 우리가 실패로부터 배울 수 있는지 여부가 될 것이다. “의인은 일곱 번 넘어져도 다시 일어난다는 것을 알지 못하는가?” (잠언 24:16).

2. Guard Your Integrity. one’s image impresses people for the moment – it comprises what we see of a person from the outside. But it is a person’s integrity that makes an impression for a lifetime – it reveals the true person, what exists on the inside. “The Lord demands fairness in every business deal. He established this principle” (Proverbs 16:11).
당신의 성실성을 지켜라. 우리의 겉모습은 사람들에게 잠시 인상을 남기며 – 그것은 우리가 사람을 외모로 보아 어떠한지를 나타낸다. 그러나 한 사람의 성실성은 평생 지닐 인상을 만들어 주는데 – 그것은 진정한 사람, 내면에 존재하는 것을 나타낸다. “공정한 저울과 추는 여호와의 것이고 주머니 속의 모든 추들도 다 그분이 만드신 것이다” (잠언 16:11).
 
3. Always Be Diligent. The strongest advice given in Proverbs about being able to enjoy your work is the importance of being willing to stick with it, even in the face of challenges and obstacles. “Steady plodding brings prosperity; hasty speculation brings poverty” (Proverbs 21:5). “Do you know a hard-working man?  He will stand before kings" (Proverbs 22:29).
항상 근면하라. 잠언에서 우리가 일을 즐겁게 할 수 있도록 하기 위한 가장 강력한 충고는 기꺼이 일에 집중하되 도전과 장애물에 직면하더라도 그렇게 하는 것이 중요하다는 것이다. “부지런한 사람의 생각은 풍성한 결과에 이르지만 마음만 급한 사람은 궁핍함에 이를 뿐이다” (잠언 21:5). “자기 일에 솜씨가 부지런한 사람을 보았느냐? 그런 사람은 왕들 앞에 설 것이다” (잠언 22:29).
 
Solomon, the king of Israel, the author of Proverbs and a man who experienced virtually everything that life could offer, made this observation: “To enjoy your work and to accept your lot in life – that indeed is a gift from God” (Ecclesiastes 5:19).
솔로몬은 이스라엘의 왕, 잠언의 저자이며 사실상 인생에서 겪을 수 있는 모든 것을 경험한 사람으로써 이러한 견해를 피력하였다: “만약 하나님께서 부와 재산을 주셔서 누리게 하시고 또 제 몫으로 챙길 힘을 받게 하신 사람은 그것이 하나님의 선물임을 알아야 할 것이다” (전도서 5:19).
