Kim Sae-rom, gold medalist at East Asian Games, appeals to participate in donation campaign to help Ukraine
On the 4th, WATC (World Academy of Taekwondo Culture, Director No-gyun Oh) and social groups such as the Citizens' Human Rights Federation announces strong sanctions statement to against Russia's invasion of Ukraine. On this statement, WATC also asked to join for peace in urging to Taekwondo families from 211 countries in the world and the international community members.
The WATC appealed for punishment to Russia violating the sublime of “peace and respect for people”, which is also the precious values of taekwondo, by illegally invading Ukraine. At the UN Victory Tower in Daejeon, 50 people, including taekwondo leaders and representatives of civic groups, announced a statement calling for peace in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The statement was represented by “Taekwondo Gold Medalist Kim Sae-rom” at the 2009 East Asian Games.EAG.

How could explain the acts of barbarism invading a sovereign state in the global civilization of 21st century?
The Russia, the country which has to be a model for the world as a member of the UN Human Rights Council, but here they were invaded Ukraine, creating unrest and tension throughout the world and greatly threatens global peace.
By Putin, and by the Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine, the human rights of minorities such as women, young people, children and the elderly are being violated, and innocent citizens are being killed by bullets fired by Putin's army. Putin is an anti-humanitarian and war criminal who shows the extreme of irresponsibility.
For the first time since the founding of the United Nations, the Republic of Korea defended freedom and peace through the participation of the United Nations in the Korean War. We, the Republic of Korea, as a member of the UN, should help Ukraine in the name of its citizens, who are suffering from Russian aggression. In addition, we must add strength to the courage of the Ukrainian citizens who are resolutely protesting against Russia's indiscriminate bombing.
The United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) urge not only economic sanctions against Russia but also active support for Ukraine's own defense. The UN and member states should prioritize humanitarian aid and donation campaigns for the acceptance of refugees in Ukraine (account sponsored by the Ukrainian Embassy in Korea: Hana Bank 174-910024-87105). Therefore, the WATC (World Academy of Taekwondo Culture) makes the following resolutions and declares the participation of the global Taekwondo family including the United Nations.
- The UN Human Rights Council should immediately disqualify the member states and expel them permanently from Russia, which is committing terrible human rights violations by invading member states!
- Putin, who violated grave international law by invading the sovereign state of Ukraine, as a war criminal, be sued immediately by the UN International Court of Justice (ICJ), investigated and strictly punished!
- Russia should immediately stop the inhuman and barbaric summary executions, enforced disappearances, torture, arbitrary detention, persecution of ethnic minorities, and brutal oppression of opposing parties in Crimea, and the International Criminal Court (ICC) should conduct a thorough investigation strictly!
- Strongly curse Putin for shutting down human rights groups, poisoning and imprisoning anti-corruption activists and political opponents, unconditionally halting attacks on Ukraine without justifiable reasons, and immediately withdrawing Russian troops from Ukraine!

WATC세계태권도문화원, 4일 푸틴 강력제제 성명서 발표
동아시아대회 금메달 김새롬 선수, 우크라이나 돕기 기부 캠페인 동참 호소
WATC세계태권도문화원(원장 오노균)에서는 시민인권연맹 등 사회단체와 함께 4일 세계태권도 211개국 태권도가족들에게 러시아의 우크라이나 침공에 따른 평화 촉구 동참과 국제사회에서 강력제제를 요청하는 성명서를 발표했다.
WATC는 러시아가 우크라이나를 불법 침공하여 태권도의 소중한 가치인 “평화와 사람존중”의 숭고함을 유린하고 있다고 응징을 호소했다. 대전 UN전승탑에서 태권도지도자, 시민단체대표 등 50여명이 참석한 가운데 러시아의 우크라이나 침공 사태에 따른 평화를 촉구하는 성명서를 발표했다.
성명서는 2009 동아시아 경기대회(East Asian Games.EAG) “태권도 금메달 리스트인 김새롬" 선수가 대표로 했다.

21세기 지구촌 문명 시대에 주권국가를 침략하는 야만 행위가 웬 말인가?
러시아는 UN 인권이사회 이사국으로서 세계의 본보기가 되어야 할 나라가 천인공노할 우크라이나 침략을 자행하여 지구촌 전체에 불안과 긴장을 조성하는 한편 지구촌 평화를 크게 위협하고 있다.
푸틴에 의한 러시아의 우크라이나에 대한 야만적 침략으로 여성, 청년, 어린이, 노인 등 소수계층의 인권이 유린당하고 무고한 시민이 푸틴 군대가 발포한 총탄으로 죽어가고 있다. 푸틴은 반인도주의자로 무책임의 극치를 보여주는 전범이다.
대한민국은 UN 창립 후 처음으로 6.25 전쟁에 유엔의 참전으로 자유와 평화를 지켰다. 우리 대한민국은 UN 회원국의 일원으로 러시아의 침략으로 고통받고 있는 우크나이나를 시민의 이름으로 도와야 한다. 또한, 러시아의 무차별 폭격에 대해 분연히 항거하고 있는 우크라이나 시민들의 용기에 힘을 보태야 한다.
미국과 북대서양조약기구(NATO) 등은 대(對) 러시아 경제적 제재뿐만 아니라, 우크라이나의 자체 방어를 적극적으로 지원할 것을 촉구한다. UN과 회원국은 우크라이나 피란민의 수용에 대한 인도적 지원과 기부 캠페인(주한 우쿠라이나 대사관 후원 계좌: 하나은행 174-910024-87105)을 최우선으로 해야 한다. 따라서 WATC세계태권도문화원에서는 다음과 같이 결의하고 UN을 비롯한 지구촌 태권도 가족의 동참을 선언한다.
- 유엔 인권이사회는 회원국을 침략하여 끔찍한 인권유린을 저지르고 있는 러시아에 대해 즉각 이사국 자격을 박탈하고 영구 제명하라!
- 주권국가 우크라이나를 침략하여 중대한 국제법을 위반한 푸틴을 전쟁범으로 유엔 국제사법 재판소(ICJ)는 즉시 피소하여 조사하고 엄단하라!
- 러시아는 크림반도에서 일어나고 있는 반인류적이고 야만적인 즉결 처형과 강제 실종, 고문, 자의적 구금, 소수 민족에 대한 박해, 반대파에 대한 잔인한 억압 등을 즉시 중지하고 국제형사재판소(ICC)는 철저히 조사하여 엄단하라!
- 인권 단체 폐쇄, 반부패 운동가, 정적들에 대한 독살과 감금을 일삼고 있는 푸틴을 강력하게 저주하며, 정당한 이유 없는 우크라이나 공격을 무조건 중단하고, 우크라이나에서 러시아군을 즉각 철수하라!
